Publishing report with Web API connector containing ApiKeyName

Hey guys, I'm trying to publish a Power BI desktop report that contains a Web API call with a custom ApiKeyName and some query parameters, like this:

This works and I get the necessary data by inserting the API key in the data source settings.

However, when I publish the report to Power BI Service I cannot schedule a refresh with it because there are no data source credentials. And whenever I try to configure them in the dataset settings they are greyed out:

How can I enter the authentication key in the Power BI service and make sure my dataset reloads?

Hi @EIndriksons ,

Please try to add this datasource in Power BI Service.

1.From the page header in the Power BI service, select Settings Settings gear icon > Manage gateways.

2.Select New at the top of the ribbon to add a new data source.

3.Choose the gateway you want to create the connection on, by providing the Gateway cluster name, then select the Data Source Type.

4.Enter information about the data source.

There are no options in the Gateway cluster name and I cannot enter any other value there.

Is this something that I should configure in Power BI Desktop before publishing?
