Publishing app with RLS

So I have created an app on Power BI and right now individuals have to request access from me, would this be a possible scenario if I make the app read only for every person in the organisation (without them having access to that specific workspace) and a report within the app still being able to perform the RLS so restricting the data based on who's accessing the report (using userprincipalname) ?

Because its really long adding every single individual and giving them viewer access to a workspace, so I want to know if they dont have viewer access to a workspace but the app created has been allowed to the entire organisation, would that work?

Hi. That should work yes. The workspace and the app have different access control. You can have access to the app and not to the workspace for example.

You can create the app as public with all the security settings like RLS. Be careful with permission. If the user has build permission for the app they will probably see everything even if there is RLS, it must be read only to keep RLS working. Be sure to publish for the entire organization. That will make the App visible for all the users with an account when they click "Get Apps" -> "Organization".

I hope that helps,
