Published report doesn't work, but works fine when editing in desktop
Hi all,
Having this issue with a report when I publish it to the online service.
When i load up the model in desktop though it works just fine.
If i then republish the report it fixed the issue temporarily. But the next time the report refreshes it breaks again. Any ideas why this is happening? The error on the online service isn't an issue when opened in the desktop app. And as you can see the relationship works just fine?

Managed to solve it. The columns that had issues were calculated columns using DAX. I rebuilt the columns using M in power query editor instead and this seems to have stopped the issue happening.

Hi @Oliver_Buchanan ,
Make sure that the data source is correctly configured in both Power BI Desktop and the online service. If the user name in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) doesn’t match a UPN in your local AS data model, they need to map users in their data source configuration.
Ensure that all relationships between tables are correctly defined and working as expected.
Some users may work around this issue by running the following command from an elevated command prompt: "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe –resetplatform". This is suggested by Microsoft as a solution for some clashes with Windows Defender.
As you mentioned, re-publishing the report seems to fix the issue temporarily. This could be a workaround until a permanent solution is found.
If your model doesn’t load, it’s because a transformation may have failed in Power Query.
Best regards.
