Publish reports from app.powerbi.com to SharePoint site

I’m looking for some help moving my Power BI reports from app.powerbi.com to a SharePoint site.

Currently, I have multiple Power BI Desktop files published to app.powerbi.com, along with a user guide included in each publish. I’d now like to share these reports and related documentation through SharePoint.

I’ve tried embedding the reports into my SharePoint site but have encountered a few issues:

  1. The report only occupies part of the page or the entire page — I can’t seem to adjust it freely. I’m wondering if this might be related to the type of site I have (it’s a Team Site, not a Communication Site).

  2. I can only embed one report at a time instead of displaying multiple reports together in one section.

Could anyone provide guidance or step-by-step instructions on how to best achieve this setup?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Below are my multiple reports:

Well, you can create a workspace with a home page and sections with links to other apps that will make many workspaces work as one. You can also add all reports in a single workspace.

Regarding sharepoint. I remember I have seen in company a site with a left navigation with many reports. All of them from different places. I don't know how it's done, I'm not a sharepoint expert, but you can probably add a navigation with many sites in a group or inside one.

I hope that helps,

Hi. If you don't want to use Power Bi Apps to share (apps could handle a menu like that), then I'm not totally sure about the question here. If you want to move from power bi sharepoint and use sharepoint like a file system to open power bi files, then for moving you need coding skills and API management. You could export the reports using something like: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/reports/export-report-in-group

Then upload that with sharepoint api to the folder expected.

Later in the question you change and talk about embedding in sharepoint. That's a different thing. If you are not confortable with the design you have built there, may be you need guidance on sharepoint site building and not for power bi. I'm sure you can build great stuff in there like a navigator for power bi reports.

I hope that helps,

Hi, @ibarrau :

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the confusion.

The picture above shows all my reports which I would like to move from app.powerbi.com to a SharePoint site for now. You are right. I can share straightly from app instead of SharePoint. However, I will have reports from another workspace later on which would be moved from that workspace to the same SharePoint for sharing collaborately.

For the picture above, I would like to explain to you that "User Guide", "Capital", "Operational" & "PO" are from 4 different files. When I tried to share with my team SharePoint, I was able to share only one at a time, but I have seen samples which can share all of them at once (just the same setting as in the app). Was it because I have a team site instead of communication site? Do you happen to know? Thanks for your advice.

Well, you can create a workspace with a home page and sections with links to other apps that will make many workspaces work as one. You can also add all reports in a single workspace.
