Previous deep links from update app no longer there

Before last update, there was what I think was called "deep links" in the "update app"  pop up. These links always worked (unlike the url from window-pane, which for some reason sometimes links to workspace-report).

Why are these links no longer available? And what is best practice if you want to provide a link in eg workplace for a specific report or page in an app with many reports?

All help is appreciated:)!

Needs more details. Is this on Shared Capacity or on Premium?  Have you converted to Audience ?

Hi!

This is on premium. this is the old version:

while this is the new one, without report-links.

so it is the audience-convertion that is the issue here, if I'm not misunderstanding something:)

Sort of. The links are now under the Audience tab.

can not see it in the audience tab either. could you snip and mark where I should find it?

You are right, these links have disappeared again. Not cool.

A workaround of sorts is to navigate to the app, then in the app navigate to the desired report, and to copy the URL.

Make sure it is of the format

https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/apps/<appGUID>/reports/<reportGUID>

no, this "../groups/me/apps/.." is what we are trying to avoid, since it very often results in bad links to eg workspace-report in stead of app-report. the reason why the link is different (and called "deep") in the update app pop-up, is because it works seamlessly everywhere incl om mobile units. So would appreciate Very much if this is included in next update.

You can use this format:

https://app.powerbi.com/Redirect?action=OpenReport&appId=<appGUID>&reportObjectId=<reportGUID>&ctid=<TenantID>

that is what we are currently doing, but it is a hassle. hence the original post. why has it been removed, and why is it diffucult to include in the future?
