After i created a project using pbiviz new ProjectName and then started it. I am trying to test it using "developer visual". I get a blank visual. It doesnt seem to read constructor and doesnt show count=0. It is only when i choose some value from dataset, that it starts working. What can be the issue?

In my opinion, that doesn't matter. You may take a look at the Web Console.
