PowerPoint Export Inactive

I have report users that intermittently have the option to export a Power BI report to PowerPoint as an embedded image greyed out. They close out of Chrome and come back in and the option is present. Is there a reason why this would be unavailable at random times?

Hi @Swish11 ,

There are currently some visualization objects that do not support export to ppt : R visual , ARCGIS visual .

Since the export may be intermittent, you may choose to clear your browser cache or change your browser to try it out.

I am not using any custom visuals. The report uses all Power BI standard visuals. The same user can refresh the report and can export to PowerPoint a few minutes later.

Hi @Swish11 ,

Does this mean that it takes a long time for the user to export to ppt, or after he refreshes the data, the export button is grayed out and it takes a few minutes to change back to its original state.

My suggestion would be to check your browser cache below and try a different browser if you can.

Or in the service it can not export ppt, then try to export to ppt in desktop.

The option to export an image to powerpoint is greyed out. The only options available are a live connection to powerpoint or pdf. An hour later, the same user can go to the same report and now have an option to export an impage to powerpoint. It happens in all browsers.
