PowerBi wants to run cloud date sources through gateway

Hi All

I'm trying to upload a PBIX file that contains both data from cload sources and on premises. I've done that several times before and the settings have aways been that cloud data sources were managed through data source credentials and data from on premises were handled through a gateway. But now when I upload the file it tries to run everything through the gateway and data source credentials are greyed out.

I've tried to remove all on premises data and then data source credentials works fine, but as soon as I add on premises data again only the gateway is available.

I've also tried with other files, that worked perfectly before but now it doesn't anymore.

Does anyone know what to do? Do I need to have everything through a gateway?

Hi there

When you have a combination of On-Premise and cloud data sources in order for it to refresh the cloud data sources have to go through the Gateway too. Otherwise it will not work.

I would configure the cloud data sources in the Gateway and then you will be able to use the Gateway.
