So, maybe this is happening for a while now but i noticed today.
In the desktop version if i have only one measure in the Y axis and let's say weeks on the X axis I can choose Apply settings to "All" and change the colour of the whole line.
When I publish it, it defaults to blue and is greyed out and it only let me choose a colour if i choose a specific week, not very practical.... Is this a bug or what?
Are you on the new July 2026 Desktop? This is a new feature, Legend Fx. Most of PROD Web is enabled, but some GOV/SOV sites are always slower to deploy. What region are you in?

Yes I am on the new July Desktop but I dont believe the issues comes from desktop.
This is a new report/model I launched for testing in different workspace.
The report was created exclusively online (no publishing) and still when i dont have multiple measures or something for legend choosing a single colour for the series is unavailable (dropdown inaccesible).
My region is West Europe (Netherlands)
Hi @theo_s,
Thank you @GilbertQ @mattlee, for your insights.Because you've been able to reproduce the behavior in a report created directly in Power BI Service, it doesn't seem to be tied to Desktop or the publishing process. The documentation explains how to configure Data colors for line charts, but it doesn't mention any restriction that would make the Apply settings to = All option unavailable for a single-series line chart. If the problem continues across browsers, workspaces, and a simple sample report, that could point to a Power BI Service-side regression.
Could you check whether adding a field to the Legend to create multiple series makes the Apply settings to dropdown appear? That would help confirm whether this is limited to single-series line charts.

Hello @v-saisrao-msft
Well, I tested both on my phone and a second laptop and issue persists.
For demonstration purposes, I created a new pro workspace added a new semantic model and a new report on top of it. Video below shows the bug:
Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi @theo_s,
Thanks for testing this and sharing the video. Since you've reproduced the issue across multiple devices and in a brand-new Pro workspace with a new semantic model and report, it doesn't appear to be related to your report or the publishing process. The documentation doesn't describe this as an expected limitation, so I'd recommend opening a Microsoft Support ticket and including your reproduction steps and video to help the product team investigate further.

Hi @theo_s
Can you make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Power PR Desktop, open your file and then re upload it to the Power FBI service and see if this resolves your issue.
I am not sure if this has anything to do with Desktop, if you see my reply above, I tested with new report made exclusively online. Choosing a single colour for a series if it's only one series without a legend, seems unavailable. This for line/ area chart. I can workaround with combo chart without bars
