Hello, hoping one of you experts could help me!
I am new to PowerBI and have created a Tabular Model in SSAS. This Model sources its data from live tables on SQL server. It is also not running in direct query mode.
I haven't deployed it yet, so I am accessing it in PowerBI with the localserver. Now I have created some visuals that seem to work fine, however others keep throwing the following error message
"Couldn't load data for this visual. An unexpected error occured (file xmvsquery.cpp, line 3193, function XMVSColumn::bind)
which only seems to resolve when I re-process the data in SSAS. And then a few seconds later the error happens again when I select refresh on the PowerBI side.
Hi @JD0963,
After a few research, I find a similar thread here in which a workaround is mentioned. Could you go to check if it helps in your scenario?
After further testing I found the problem. When adding fields which contain blank fields in SSAS the problem occurs.
As a workaround I replaced the blank fields with the text 'Unknown'.
Regards
I am getting this same exact error but on azure sql.
