We need to access data in a third party repository. We are working on two options, use their API or use their plug in.
We are struggling with both.
This post is regarding their Plug in. Their respository access via the plug in requires two factor authentication. Fine and good for an individual user, but we wish to have the Service access the data. I am wondering if there are schemes that would allow the Power Bi Service to work with a two factor authentication process.
I realize this pretty much invalidates the purpose of two factor authentication, but ya gotta do what you gotta do.
Ideas?
Thx

Hey @Anonymous ,
unfortunately, there is a simple answer: you can not connect to a 3rd party plug-in from the service.
The only plug-in that you can authenticate from the service to is the on-premises data gateway, but of course this is not a 3rd party "plug-in".
I think you have to go with the API.

Tom
