Power Bi Schedule Refresh

Hello Team,

I have created a dashboard using import mode with 5 private Google Sheets & ODBC. The data source is ODBC, and we used a replica of the large database. The dashboard is published on the service, but I’m facing two issues:

  1. "Failed to test the connection to your data source. Please retry your credentials."
  2. "Some credentials aren't validated as they are set to skip test connection."

All the credentials for gateways and cloud connections are updated, but the issues persist. Please see the attached images for reference.

I need help to resolve these issues. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi @User0201_1

Issue 1:

Ensure that the ODBC data source is correctly configured in your system. This includes checking the DSN settings and ensuring that the correct drivers are installed.

If you're using an on-premises data gateway, ensure that it's correctly configured and running. The gateway needs to be online and accessible by Power BI to refresh the data.

Issue 2:

Try re-entering the credentials for the data sources in Power BI Service. Go to the dataset settings, and under the Data source credentials, update the credentials again, ensuring that the option to skip the test connection is not s
Ensure that the credentials are correctly encrypted and stored. This might involve checking the gateway's configuration or how the credentials are managed in Power BI Service.elected.
