Power Bi Report Not Updating in an App

I have a problem that I have not seen on the posts. I built a report in Power Bi Desktop, then published it onto an app that I admin for my workplace. I then had to make some changes, which I did in Desktop to the pbix file. I republished this, replacing the existing file, then updated the app so that the changes would be reflected there. However, the changes have not been reflected in the published version of the report. I have confirmed that the file contains the changes I made, and I can see them when going into the "Update App" section and looking at the report there. However, two days after the update I still do not see this change in the published report.

I have done this many times before, so I am confident I have done what was needed, but for some reason this report has not updated. Any suggestions?

Hi @brownb8955 ,

Based on the information you have provided, I  will offer some ideas and solutions to problems you may be experiencing.

As you said, If you make changes to a report in Power BI Desktop and republish it, these changes are automatically reflected in the application. If you have made changes to the structure of the report, you can update the application by clicking the Update Application button in the Application section of the Power BI service.

If you have updated the application and are still experiencing problems, check that the Include in Report Refresh option is enabled in the Query Editor of Power BI Desktop. Disabling this option causes reports in Power BI Desktop not to be updated.
