Power Bi Issue

Issue in Power BI Service

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on Power BI Desktop, and my numbers are all correct. However, once I publish the report to the Power BI Service, the numbers remain correct initially, but when I refresh the data on the service, the numbers double as if they were multiplied by two.

I checked the source data in SQL, and the numbers are correct, just like in Power BI Desktop.

I reviewed the relationships in the desktop version, and everything is fine – they are all One to Many, meaning there’s no chance of duplication.

I also checked the filters, and there’s nothing wrong.

I even removed and reinstalled the Gateway, but the issue still persists.

I then created a new workspace, named it differently, and uploaded the file again, but the same issue occurred.

I tried disabling cache in Power BI Service, thinking it might be causing the issue, but after publishing and refreshing, the problem remained.

I also reached out to multiple people in different countries, but no one seems to know what’s causing this issue.

Additionally, someone from another company mentioned that they’ve been facing the same issue for the past two days.

So, my question is: Has anyone else encountered this issue within the last two or three days?

I want to determine whether this is a global issue.

For example:

If a branch named "C" shows a value of 10 in Power BI Desktop, it remains 10 in Power BI Service before refreshing, but after refreshing, it becomes 20—and so on!!!

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone, I have solved my issue by disabling incremental refresh. After disabling it, I performed multiple refreshes to test the data, and now the numbers match exactly with the data source and the report on Power BI Desktop. Thank you all!

Hi,

I have a similar issue. The difference is my data comes from the SharePoint list.
When I publish it's fine but after the scheduled refresh the Dashboard and the report in the Service show incorrect data.
Sometimes there are reduced numbers (not all), and sometimes some new data is in it but some old data is missing.

Hi @Mohamed_Adel ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community and providing detailed information about the issue. It appears that your Power BI numbers double after refreshing in the Power BI Service, even though the source data and relationships are correct in Power BI Desktop.

Could you please confirm if you've checked the following.

  • Ensure the data source settings in Power BI Service match those in Power BI Desktop.
  • Check for any duplicate queries or tables being loaded into Power BI Service that could cause the data to double.

Some users are experiencing issues with refreshing, although it might not be the exact same problem as yours.

Regards,

Yugandhar.
