Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a weird issue: I have a stacked area chart which min/max are set to auto, and in desktop it is exactly what I want it to be:
However, after I publish it to Service, the visual is aligned to 0 which is not what I want:
It worked without issue previously - I just start experiencing this from this week. Is it a bug?
Thanks for any advice. @PBICommunity
Hi @Winniethewinner ,
According to PG's feedback, For combo charts (area+column) with multiple stacked series, the axis starts from zero. That is also the general expected behavior where area- That is also the general expected behavior where area- charts should start from zero. So the display on Power BI Service is by design, but the inconsistency is due to the fact that Desktop has not yet been synchronized with the update. Desktop will be updated with this issue in the September release.
PG also gives Mitigations:

Thanks @Anonymous . That's an interesting change from Power BI.
In my scenario, the red part is always the biggest and I'd like to just track the revolution of other colors' %. Given the Y being always from 0, it's difficult to see other colors' trending.
Users can always manually change Y minimum to 0, so I don't really understand why PBI force it to be 0 and loosing the flexibility to display auto range based on the data.
Hi @Winniethewinner ,
I have reported the issue internally, if there is any progress, I will update here.

Hi @Winniethewinner ,
I took a screenshot of Power BI Service and it reproduces the same problem as yours. Thank you for the information you provided, if it's convenient, could you also provide me with the version number of Power BI Service.

Thanks @Anonymous . Below is my desktop version:
I see your chart Y axis starts from 0%. But my scenario is, Y axis is auto depending on the data range and it starts from 70% in desktop, but it changes to 0% after publishing to Service - shouldn't it be from 70% as well in Service?
