Hi,
I am trying to schedule Power BI report refresh. It looks like is disabled. I found this error.
| Data source error: | Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh. |
I can't find dataset's setting page or a place to enter credentials for all data sources.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Go to Power BI Service: https://app.powerbi.com
Navigate to your workspace where the report is published.
Under the "Datasets + dataflows" section, locate your dataset.
Click on the ellipsis (three dots) next to the dataset > choose "Settings".
Under "Data source credentials", check each listed source:
Once all credentials are set, scroll to "Scheduled refresh" and toggle it On.
Set your preferred refresh frequency and save.
HI @Anonymous,
Thank you for the question.
Based on your description, it appears Power BI is incorrectly routing cloud sources like SharePoint or Dataflows through your on-premises gateway, which is not required and can prevent refreshes. This typically happens when source paths overlap or cloud credentials are missing.
To resolve this, ensure your Azure File Share uses a UNC path and is correctly mapped under the gateway. Then, in the Power BI Service, go to Dataset settings and then Data source credentials, and authenticate each cloud source (like SharePoint) separately using OAuth2. Cloud sources should not be part of the gateway configuration. Once this separation is in place, the refresh should work as expected.
If this solution worked for you, kindly mark it as Accept as Solution and feel free to give a Kudos, it would be much appreciated!
Thank you for using Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Thank you very much for the quick response.
Have a good day.
Thank you

Hi @Anonymous Go to Power BI Service, locate your workspace, and access Dataset Settings via the three dots (...) next to the dataset. Under Data Source Credentials, update credentials for all data sources. Then, enable Scheduled Refresh in the Scheduled Refresh section and set your preferred frequency. Save the changes to activate the refresh.
Thank you for your help. I think my problem is now solved.
Thank you
