Power BI free user cant access reports in F64 capacity workspace

Hi,

I'm testing the possibility of Power BI free users accessing shared reports that are in a @Fabric  F64 workspace, however the user is still receiveing the message that a paid licence is required.

What am I testing:

-scale the fabric capacity for F64

-assign the capacity to workspace TEST that has a Power BI report.

-add free user as workspace viewer

-with free user, try access the Power BI report that is in the 'shared with me' section but the user receives you need a paid licence to view this content

checking the offical documentation, this should work.

Hi @DC07 ,

Based on the information you have provided, it appears that you have followed the correct steps. To help you resolve and troubleshoot the error, please follow the steps below in order to check if you have missed anything:

  1. Navigate to Workspace Settings and ensure that the workspace is allocated to Fabric F64 capacity. Only Premium or Fabric F64 or higher capacity workspaces allow free users to access content.
  2. Ensure that the Viewer role is assigned to free users in the TEST workspace.
  3. Ensure that reports are properly shared with free users and that administrators approve free user access requests.

Best Regards,

Ada Wang

@Anonymous hi, yes number 1 and 2 confirmed have been done. Number 3 what do you mean exactly? When you asign the viewer permissions on the fabric workspace the reports are automatically Shared with the free user and appear under the free user 'shared with me' section
