Power BI connections (On Prem to Cloud and vice versa)

Hi folks,

we are planning to migrate from the report server into the service. But I have questions in regards to the connection: 

1. Firewall: How to setup the firewall that my users can access cloud data "e.g. Azure Synaps" via Power Bi Desktop ?

2. Gateways: Our Data Sources are still mostly on prem. Does that mean we have to install for each data source one gateway?

Are there any bestpractices on how to deal in such a hybrid world?

1. That is a question for your company's cyber security team.

2.  You need individual connections. They can all live on the same gateway.
