Power BI Workspace Roles

Hello,

I added a user with member role to the workspace but the user is not able to publish the report from Desktop.

Member role is set with read only permission not with edit permission.

this is the old workspace , why the member is not able to publish a report from desktop?

Add the user as admin to the workspace and then he will able to publish report.For further,please have a look at below article.

As per MS document below member role allows to publish to workspace.
