Hey All,
I have a data model created in PBI Desktop and it works no problems. However as soon as I publish it the PBI Service only a small percentage of the data is accessible. (either in the file itself or the consuming file linked to it)
This started occuring last month. After numerous refreshes/republising it sorted itself out so I thought it was a server side issue. However the problem has returned.
The data model file has been used for years and there hasnt been any major changes to it recently. I have tried rolling back the Desktop versions but that didnt help.
It is weird because I can access the data in the Desktop, but in the PBI Service it refuses to display.
I have also tried
I may rebuild the data model however this will take days and I am not entirely convinced this will solve the problem as the file works in Desktop but not in the Service.
Any one else experiencing this problem?
Any ideas how to overcome this problem.
Thanks
Daniel
Okay I think I discovered what was wrong.
There were two tables (amaongst scores of tables) that were not refreshing even though I didnt get any error messages during the global refresh in desktop.
Once I manually refreshed the tables everything was back to normal. (fingers crossed)
Thanks for your input.
I am using RLS and I am ADMIN so it should work for me.
I am not using Incremental Refresh so this is not relevant
