Power BI Rest API.. Datasets - Get Refresh History

Hi.

I am making a script to pull our refresh failures from the Cloud. And I am using the Power BI Rest API - Get Refresh History.

Could someone give me some insights into how to format/parse the "serviceExceptionJson" nested jsons? It seems that there is extra data within the nest of the json file, and I cant manipulate it at all. I am using Python.

I am trying to get to the "errorDescription" > "error" > "code". I want to capture these refresh failure messages.

Thanks

Hi @Chris-F

I am using Power Automate to extract the data into JSON files which go into SharePoint.

I then use Power BI Desktop with Power Query to extract the data from the JSON file which works really well and allows me to see the error messages.

Could you try that?

With regards to using Python, you should be able to go down the JSON structure to the error field?
