Power BI REST API GET Activity events

In PowerBI you can analyse usage metrics for specific dashboards by generating a usage metrics report. You can also extract usage metrics by using the REST API (activity events endpoint). However when comparing the metrics, both yields different results in term of viewcounts, why is that?

Hi. Make sure the operation activity and the filter context is exactly the same. At least with the Admin Monitoring workspace, the "feature usage and adoption" and the power bi rest api event activities, matches. I haven't tried the usage metrics because we want to check all of the reports together in a single report, I'm not sure what the "views" means against the operations. I would trust more the API or Admin monitoring beacuse I have more details.

I hope that helps,
