Power BI Embeded using direct query

I am using Power BI Embeded with Azure Database. I use Data Sources as direct query. I just want to understand, when I send filters as query parameters through the embed url, will Power BI load ALL data from the query and after applies filters or it will modify sql query automatically to get only data with the selected filters (cause the database is really large and getting all rows will take a lot of time and server resources).

Don't worry, you are in the right direction.

in DirectQuery mode, upon load, no data will actually be imported into the Power BI store.

Instead, upon building a visual within Power BI Desktop/Service, queries will be sent to the underlying data source to retrieve the necessary data.
