Power BI Embedding in Webpage and filter using Bar Code Scanner

Hi Team,

I have one problem statement wherein I have to embed Power BI dashboard into one webpage which will be accessed by multiple operators. Now this data need to be filtered based on the barcode scanned by Operator. If there are 10 operators working in shop floor then at a time they might scan 10 different items and it has to filter the dashboard in their webpage based on the scnanned item. I am not looking for Mobile App Scanners so any idea if there is any solution to this problem.

Hi @Anonymous ,

If I understand you correctly, you might be able to use the scanned codes as a slicer.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-slicers .

And if you are using a dashboard, you may check the 'Pin Live Page' feature.

Best Regards,

Jay

Yes, Since the scanner will be connected to the oltp application database and all the scanned codes will be stored in one table

No, My problem is different. I have to embed Power BI dashboard into one webpage which will be accessed by multiple users working in plant. This dashboard need to be filtered based on the barcode scanned by Operator. If there are 10 operators working in shop floor then at a time they might scan 10 different Barcodes and then it has to filter the dashboard in their webpage based on the scanned item.
