Hi,
We are embedding content in PowerBI for our clients (it's a SSAS application using the App Owns Data model). So that means that if I have a dataset in import mode connected to an On-premise SSAS Tabular datasource, the owner of the dataset is our pbi master account used in our application (for example pbimaster@isv.com) . If we try to refresh the dataset using scheduled refresh, the refresh fails with an "The user name or password is incorrect" error because the account pbimaster@isv.com does not exists in the client local active directory.
Is there a way to refresh a SSAS Import Dataset when using PowerBI Embedded? I known that we can use the map user name feature of the datasource in the Power BI Service but there does not seems to be an API to control this list (so that means that each time a client would add a new datasource he would have to contact us to add the new mapping).
Thanks!
Norm
Hi, @Norm
Yes, it seems difficult. Check the similar case:API method to map user names - Microsoft Power BI Community
