We are using Excel 2013 (I know that is old but not in my control). When I do Analyze in Excel the manually created measures show as measures but the default measures for a field do not show as measures. I know in SSAS tabular you have to manually create measures. Is the behavior I am getting with Analyze in Excel the normal functionality of PBI with excel or is this a limitation on using Excel 2013.
I have seen examples of Analyze in Excel but not one that mentioned it only showed manually created measures. I am trying to confirm how this works before presenting premium to my boss.
Thanks for any help.

This behavior is by design so you will need to explicitly create meaures in the Power BI model to be able to utilize them as values in Excel.
Hi @John7412 ,
the SSAS property "Default Measure" is not supported by Power BI.
refer:Default measure from AS Cube not working in Power BI Desktop
Wish it is helpful for you!
Best Regards
