I'm planning to migrate reports on the Power BI service and want to automate the process instead of doing it manually. I have developed a PowerShell script that reads a list of workspaces and reports from an Excel file, creates the workspaces, and uploads the assigned reports.
Now, I want to further organize these workspaces by creating subfolders and uploading reports to those subfolders. Is there a way to programmatically create subfolders in a workspace using the Power BI REST API, PowerShell cmdlets, or any other method?
Thanks in advance.

Hi. Not yet. There is no API request or cmdlets for creating subfolders. As far as I remember they are still in preview. We'll see if there is some change at the API when the come general availlable. I would love to see some data about subfolders at the API.
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!
Hi @DimitraG ,
As ibarrau said, not yet.
You can submit an idea for it at Home (microsoft.com) and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.

Neeko Tang
