Hi all,
I've got a report that makes use of the admin API's to help manage the tenant.
I noticed that some recently created workspaces are missing when using the Admin - Groups GetGroupsAsAdmin API, however when I use the regular Groups - Get Groups API they're showing as normal. I've reviewed the affected workspaces and can't see any difference between them and the older ones.
Possibly related but one of my team who has an admin role in one of the affected workspaces is unable to view the workspace in Power BI service.
Any idea why this may be happening?
Kind regards,
David

Have you tried the Fabric REST API instead?

Hi @david_busint,
Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Thanks @ibarrau and @lbendlin for your prompt response. As they suggested open a ticket or Raise an issue for a definitive resolution.
Meanwhile you can have a look on this workaround below, this could help Mitigate the issue temporarily and offer flexibility in managing workspaces until the root cause is determined:
New workspaces may take time to sync and appear in the Admin API (GetGroupsAsAdmin). Wait a few hours or a day, then re-run the API call to check if the workspaces show up.
If this solution worked for you, kindly mark it as Accept as Solution and feel free to give a Kudos, it would be much appreciated!

Sahasra.
Hi. Maybe you can share the way you are running the request. One thing I can think about is that the request has a required parameter "Topn". That forces you to pick a limit of workspaces that will be returned. It could be let out of there.
Reading the code can help us understand if it's correct and you should rise a ticket to support or you have an error.
I hope that helps
Happy to help!

Hi Ibendlin,
Thank you. I didn't realise that Microsoft had released a new set of Fabric API's.
Looks like I'm rebuilding my report using them 🙂
Kind regards,
David
