Persistent filter delay

Hi,

I just realized that persistent filter in reports take a while to be persisted.

If I select in the filter pane a value for a filter, look at the result and refresh the page , the filter is lost.

But if I do the same exercice for the same filter another (same value or another) but I wait a minute, the filter is kept.

Is there a minimum of time before the selection is considered to be kept ?

Thanks for your help

Hi there

It should happen pretty quickly. I think it also considers if your report has finished rendering before it will store the persistent filter.

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, my report is simple and the page has finished rendering.

It seems the "pretty quickly" is around 1 minute (or is it a bug and it should be quicker ?( and I think it is a little bit long. I don't think my users will remember everytime, they have to wait 1 minute before leaving the page, if they want their filters are kept.

Hi there

I would agree that you should not have to wait 1 minute for the filters to be remembered.

I often just filter what I need and move off the page. To come back and it always has remembered the filter settings.

I agree with you. But my users seem to have a different experience than us.

I did not experienced the issue until a user talked to me about it. So I was wondering if anyone knew about a bug or if it is normal ?

Hi there

I just tested this and the persistent filter happens almost instantly for me.

One thing to ask is how fast is your internet connection?

And how fast is the computer that is being worked on?

Possibly those are causing the issues.
