PBI embedded for customers

I wan to learn how to do embedded solutions for customers. I am looking at the following:

Power BI dependencies

  • Your own Azure Active Directory tenant.

  • To authenticate your app against Power BI, you'll need one of the following:

    • Service principal - An Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) service principal object that allows Azure AD to authenticate your app.

    • Power BI Pro license - This will be your master user and your app will use it to authenticate to Power BI.

    • A Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license - This will be your master user and your app will use it to authenticate to Power BI.I am not sure about Azure Active Directory tenant.. My company has PBI services, but I am not sure in what capacity. Can I somehow use company's tenant? I do have a Pro license and PPU Premium. Thanks

Yes, creating a tenant means big bucks and big commitment. You don't really want to do this "a la rogue".

You use your company's tenant by showing your IT department and your Finace department the ROI of what you are trying to do.

You would identify who your company's tenant admin is, and then present your business case to them.

How about using company's existing tenants?

Checking with IT means a help ticket that will never be approved.

BTW, if I create a tenent will that cost my company any money?

How would I use my company's tenant?

If your company is using Microsoft Office products (as opposed to GSuite, for example) then you already have to have an AAD tenant.  Maybe you can check with your IT department.

I am stuck before that.

Your own Azure Active Directory tenant.

I dont know if it's ok to create a tenant within my company (probably won't even work).
