PBI Reports Backup- Import/ Direct/ Live connections!
Hi everyone,
We are attempting to use version control to backup PBI reports, but this method only allows for import and direct query backup and version control; it does not provide live connection reports backup.
Thus, if you could also assist us with taking a backup of the live connection reports.
This will make it easier for us to retrieve the backups and store them for later use.
If this doesnt work out, please suggest an alternative for this automated process.

Hi, @RiteshAdhav
Backing up a Power BI report with a live connection can be a bit tricky because the live connection doesn't store data in the report itself.
You can publish the report to the Power BI service, and from within the Power BI service, you can download the PBIX file. This will not contain data, but will have a reporting structure and live connection settings.
Or you can try using a third-party tool, such as Power BI Helper, that can help you record and back up Power BI reports, including reports with live connections.
If you can, consider using Power BI dataflows to centralize data preparation. This allows the report to connect to these dataflows, and the dataflows can be backed up separately.
