Oracle Data Connection - ORA 12154

Hi guys,

I am trying to connect to an on prem Oracle server for which i have setup a gateway to point to the VM in the same network where the Oracle server is hosted.

I have also installed Oracle Client https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/appdev/ocmt.html from here and installed it on the same VM where the gateway resides.

Now when i am trying to create a data connection, i am facing the following error "Oracle: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified". I have tried to look at few online resources and verified that i am able to ping the oracle server from the VM. Created environement variables ORACLE_HOME and TNS_ADMIN so it points to the path where tnsnames.ora is located.

It would be helpful if anyone can point what i might have missed/overlooked.
