Hi all,
I have a dashboard/report on app.powerbi that is properly hooked up to an on-prem gateway and can successfully access the server/database, etc. However, when the time comes for its morning refresh, I get a failure email with this message:
"An error occurred while processing the data in the dataset.
The "Column1" column does not exist in the rowset."
I can refresh just fine from within Power BI desktop and re-publish, but I'd perfer not to do it manually every morning. Can anyone help decipher this very generic error message?
I had the same issue. If it's an excel spreadsheet, i've noticed a trend of trailing spaces that cause issues in the service, but not the desktop, the desktop seems to trim the field names whereas the service/gateway does not.
Hi @RMDNA,
Which data source did you connect to? You can try below tips to troubleshoot the issue:
1. As you use data gateway to ensure connection, please keep the data gateway always up-to-date.
2. There is a newest desktop version, you can try to republish the report from this desktop version.
3. As you mentioned the morning refresh failed, is there any difference on database side on every morning? Can you schedule the refresh in another period?
Best Regards,
