Not getting Error Notification when Scheduled Refresh fails for Live Connection

Hi Team,

I am using Azure analysis services as a source to my Power BI report which connects to it through live connection. I used the option of "Email these users when the refresh fails" as shown.

I forced the refresh to fail by renaming my AAS Tabular model using SSMS. It says connection error after it. When the next schedule refresh happens as per frequency set (15 min), I am not recieving any email notification for it.

Let me know how can I test this failure feature? Please advice.

This notification will only email the current dataset owner in the event of a failure.

One more thing, do you have edit the alternate email? in that case, notifications should be sent to your alternate email address. And did you check your spam/junk folders of your mailbox?

Hi Lin,

I checked the alternate email and the junk folder too. I am not recieving any emails there.
Do you know any other way of making schedule cache refresh to fail for live connection reports? I am currently testing it by renaming the AAS tabular model through SSMS.
