Not able to create data source for Analysis services in PowerBI services

I fetch data from Analysis services into PowerBI (Import mode). I am able to fetch the data but when I publish this report in to powerBI services and i am creating new data source in powerBI services using the same server link i am not able to create data source. It give me bellow error, Not able to understand what to do plz guide me

Can you please tell me what kind of permission cube admin need to provide.

As for data source creation i am using admin credentials. Also i am able to see only windows authentication option.

they need to make you cube admin, or they need to enter their Windows credentials at that step.

Ouw, that hurts!

On the gateway there are a couple of prerequisites that do not exist on the Power BI desktop.

- the browser service must be accessible

- the connection user must have Discover privileges on the OLAP cube which means they have to be cube admin (!!!)

You need to talk to the cube admins about that. They need to give you the required permissions.

Then you need to set up the gateway connection.
