Not able find AXDB tbales in Dataverse

Dear Team,

The D365 AXDB database contains the InventTransOrgin table, but I am unable to find the same table in Dataverse.

Could you please guide me on how to sync the InventTransOrgin table from AXDB to Dataverse in D365 configuration?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Perumal

Hi @Perumal,

After thoroughly reviewing the details you provided, I have identified few alternative workarounds that may help resolve the issue. Please follow these steps:

The InventTransOrigin table in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (AXDB) is not directly available in Dataverse by default. This is because only specific tables (or entities) are synced through Dual-write or made accessible via the Data Export Framework.

To sync the InventTransOrigin table from AXDB to Dataverse, follow these steps:
Open Dual write in D365 Finance & Operations. Navigate to Dual-write mappings (Data Management > Dual-write). Search for a mapping related to InventTransOrigin. If there is no mapping, you must create a custom one.

To create a Custom Table in Dataverse, open Power Apps (make.powerapps.com), go to Dataverse > Tables, and click New Table to define fields matching InventTransOrigin. Configure Dual write in D365 Finance & Operations by creating a mapping between AXDB. InventTransOrigin and the new Dataverse Table, ensuring correct field mappings and enabling the mapping. Insert or update records in InventTransOrigin in AXDB. Verify if records sync to Dataverse.

To enable a Data Entity for InventTransOrigin, navigate to D365 FO > Data Management. Verify if InventTransOrigin is listed as a Data Entity. If it is not available, create a Custom Data Entity in Visual Studio. Configure the Data Export Framework to export data to Azure SQL or Azure Data Lake. Then, set up a Power Automate flow or an ADF pipeline to transfer data from Azure SQL/Data Lake to Dataverse.

To access data in Dataverse without storing it: use virtual tables with OData endpoints to expose InventTransOrigin or use a custom API with Azure Function or Logic Apps to fetch and expose InventTransOrigin data.
