Hi! I am a one person company who does not have a domain registered. I simply use a public email address for my business emails. Is there any way that I can get into the Power Bi site, or do I have to pay for and configure a domain name so that I can connect?
Easiest path to victory would be to sign up for a free trial of O365, which you could then use that information to sign up for Power BI free version. If you like it, you pay the $6 or $7 a month for your O365 account, if you don't like it, you cancel.
Techincally, what you need is an Azure Active Directory "id". That involves a tenant. This article will walk you through it:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-developer-sign-up-for-power-bi-service/
Again, though, you would "Try for free", https://azure.microsoft.com and then go from there. Basically, by hook or by crook, you need an Azure AD credential for Power BI to "trust".
