New Instance of Power BI Service, for Company Name Change

Hello Everyone,

My employer has undergone a business model change, and with that we have closed out our old book and rebranded.  During the pandemic, we even moved from an On-premise environment to Snowflake...  so its a big change across the board.

We are now looking to keep our old company reports (Product X) totally separate from what's essentially going to be a New Company (Product Y).

Therefore, is there a way to create a New Instance of the Power BI Service, under the same billing?

  • Essentially, we want is the ability to create & publish new reports for Product Y into brand New Workspaces, without having to see the Old Workspaces.

You may create new worspaces and Brand the service portal from tenant admin settings . However there is no way to create another tenant for the same E365 subscription or to hide existing workspaces. You may  restrict access to old workspaces and create custom backgrounds for new workspaces and apps.

Hi @qbarnes

You can create new workspaces in Service through turn on the setting Create workspaces(new workspace experience) in Admin Portal .

But Power BI Service does not support hiding previously created workspaces. If you don’t want users to visit the previous workspaces, you can remove them from the roles in the old workspaces .
