Hi,
Currently, all contributors in a workspace have access to all reports. I wanted to remove them from specific reports.
I am an admin here but could not find the option of "remove access" and only can see an option of "add reshare".
How to restrict contributors from accessing specific reports?
Thanks.
Hi,
To restrict contributors from accessing specific reports in a Power BI workspace, you can use the following steps:
Open the workspace in Power BI Service, and select the report that you want to restrict access to.
Click on the "More options" (ellipses) button next to the report, and select "Security" from the dropdown menu.
In the Security pane, you can see a list of users and groups that have access to the report. By default, all members of the workspace have access to all reports in the workspace.
To remove a specific user or group from the report, click on the checkbox next to their name and click "Remove".
You can also add new users or groups to the report by clicking on the "Add" button and typing in their email address or group name.
Once you have made the changes, click "Save" to apply them.
Note that removing a user or group from a report does not remove them from the workspace. They will still have access to other reports and content in the workspace unless you explicitly remove them from those items as well.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi, after selecting the "More options" (ellipses) button next to my report, I could only see "Manage Permissions" in the drop down but not "Security".
