I get the following error when refreshing the data in Service but it works in desktop App:

There was an error when processing the data in the dataset.

The data comes from a set of excel workbooks, if I open them and save them - without changing anything - it works. But I cannot do that everyday cause one of the files is replaced everyday automatically. Screenshot below:

Hello,

I do not understand what Core excel means but no file is over 2 MB, no password, permissions seem fine, model is ok, Checked all the formats, they are all fine. PBI is the latest version, credentials are ok, data sources are ok. There is seems to be something wrong with the excel but i cannot figure out what

Hi  @Grimarkz ,

You can check the following reasons:

Core excel > 30MB
Excel has password
Permission issue
Corrupted model
Wrong type, error format, value issue, etc.

If you still have a problem, you can try these steps to find if they can be useful:

First, make sure the PBI desktop is the latest version.
Then please delete the data source (File -> Options and Settings -> Data Source Settings) and reconnect to see if it works.
Please make sure all permission and credentials are correct.

Best Regards,

Liu Yang
