Need Isolated Power BI Environment for My Organization in Shared Tenant

We are part of a group company that shares a single Microsoft 365 tenant across multiple organizations. Although we have our own domain and namespace, we currently see Power BI content (reports, workspaces, datasets) from all the other companies in the tenant.

We would like to know if it's possible to isolate our Power BI environment so that users from our company only see our own data and content and not that of other group companies. Similarly, our content should also be hidden from others.

Is this possible through tenant-level configuration, workspace setup, or any Power BI governance feature? If yes, we’d appreciate any guidance or best practices on how to implement it.

Yes, you can isolate Power BI environments within a shared Microsoft 365 tenant.

Create Azure AD Security Groups
– One for each organization.

Restrict Workspace Access
– Assign workspaces only to your org’s security group.

Power BI Admin Portal > Tenant Settings
– Limit content sharing, publishing, and visibility only to your org’s group.

Use Naming Conventions
– Prefix workspaces (e.g., ORG1_) to keep things organized.

Thanks,
Bhavin
