Multiple subscriptions

My company hosts its software in the Company cloud. But Microsoft does not allow deploying PBI in external subscriptions. That means that the customers will have to have another subscription which they dont like. If I create an embedded solution that would allow customers to run reports and dashboards inside of a web application will that solve all the problems with multiple subscriptions? Will the customers even know about any subscriptions/licensing problems? Are there good documents that I can show to my manamgement that would explain all these things?

Thanks

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi @Markzolotoy ,

Sorry, i misunderstood you. it can be a part of the existing complany's cloud.

You mean embed content for your customers. The embed for your customers solution allows you to build an app that uses non-interactive authentication against Power BI. Your customers are likely to be external users, and they don't need to sign in using Power BI credentials to view the embedded content.

No, the customers will not subscribe to anything. It's companies with hundreds of users. I am thinking of developing an embedded solution where customers will be running reports completely transparently not even knowing that the reports are running on the cloud. In this case is the embedded service going to be another subscription for my company or it can be a part of the existing complany's cloud?

Hi @Markzolotoy ,

You can subscribe external users to a report or dashboard if your report or dashboard is hosted in a Premium capacity.  This is the feature Unlimited content sharing of Premium Capacity.
