I have a matrix table in which some of the columns have widely different values. Some of the values need the thousands unit -- 72K instead of 72,101 -- but other values need unts in the millions -- 39M instead of 39,148,228
Is there a way, on one column of a table to have different display units? Conditional formatting comes to mind, but am not sure how to set this up if it is possible in Power BI.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Current you can only use format or concatenate function to change numeric unit, and it willbe changed into text type:
Column =
SWITCH (
TRUE (),
Table1[Currency] < 1000, CONCATENATE ( "$", Table1[Currency] ),
Table1[Currency] >= 1000, CONCATENATE ( "$", CONCATENATE ( Table1[Currency] / 1000, "K" ) ),
Table1[Currency] >= 1000000, CONCATENATE ( "$", CONCATENATE ( Table1[Currency] / 1000000, "M" ) )
)
