Multiple data source credentials in Data Flow not working

I am having issues with data source credentials in a Power BI dataflow, using an WEB API Data source.

First, I created all the necessary transformation steps in my local Power Query on Power BI Desktop. I then created a dataflow in my own private workspace in which I copied the M-code from the advanced editor in Power Bi Desktop into a Power BI Dataflow. This dataflow ran and refreshed without problems. When checking the data source credentials it shows only one credential which is connected to the base-url of the API.

However, when I try to recreate this in another workspace using the same step-for-step process and copying the same code, I run into problems with the dataflow not refreshing/giving error messages regarding faulty credentials. When I investigate the data source credentials on the official workspace dataflow it shows a larger list of credentials, one for every subsection of the base url:

If I unhook the skip test connection box it does not allow me to sign in. Any combination of authentication method or privacy level gives the same error message/is not viable.

What is strange is that if I create separate workflows for each table they all run without issues.

I have no idea what causes this behavoir - any suggestions?

Apologies for the poor picture quality.
