Multiple Roles for End Users

Hi,

I have a scenario where I have a dashboard that contains data for multiple clients. I create roles and assign RLS so that when shared with each client they can only see their own data.

I have a requirement that someone internal can view the dashboard as the role of each client (E.g view as Client A or Client B). I can assign both roles to the internal user, but how do they view the dashboard through the role of their choice?

Thanks

Add a report level filter with the Client name .  It will be useless to the client as they only see their own name, but it will help the internal user with the switchover.

Thanks @lbendlin . I had thought of this however 1 client could be made up of many names. I would like to avoid having the user sift through a slicer with many selections if possible.

I was hoping there would be some functionality similar to Power BI Desktop where you have the option to view report as X role

You can still do that, but only in the workspace's dataset, not in the published app

What I would do is to have a column in the table which contains the client name.

Put this column onto the report, this will then allow your internal users to view the clients by using this dropdown.
