Hello,
I want to use a mixture of data from a Power BI cube and an Excel file stored in SharePoint.
When I develop the dashboard locally in Power BI Desktop, everything works as I want it to.
But when I publish the dashboard on https://app.powerbi.com, I get an error message that the data could not be retrieved.
I then get the following error message:
In English:
The data for this visualization could not be found.
The data for this visualization could not be retrieved. Try again later.
Try again later or contact support. Provide the following details when contacting support.
I have tried it several times over several weeks but it still doesn't work.
Has anyone ever tried something similar and / or knows what I could try to fix the error.
Many thanks in advance.
Can you tell us exactly which tables from the visual you are getting this error for are coming from which source?
And specify if they are in import or Direct Query mode.
Did you set the data source credentials for the model in the Power BI Service?
Thanks for your fast reply.
I get this error on every visual. (data only from Excel, only from the cube and with mixed data).
The connection to the cube is with DirectQuery. The Excel File is connecte via Get Data, -> SharePoint folder.
I did set the data source credentials after the upload to OAuth2 and logged me in with my Microsoft account.
Is the semantic model in the same workspace and do you have contributor or higher permission in this workspace?
The semantic model is in the same workspace and I have the required permissions.
