Hi,
I am new to Power Bi and this community, so apologies If I am not able to explain my issue clearly but here is my problem -
I have missing data in my report. The data flows into the report as follows-
Azure SQL database > PBI DataFlow > PBI Dataset > Report
When I check the data in PBI Dataset (by establishing a direct connection to the dataset, in PBI Desktop), I can see complete data - meaning I have all the data in the dataset
But still, the report does not show that data, for reasons I don't understand.
The dataflow and dataset follow scheduled refreshes and all refreshes have been completing successfully without any errors
Has anybody experienced such issues before? Could you help me understand what could be the issue here?
Thanks!
Hi, @Anonymous
There could be several reasons for this issue. One possible reason is that query caching is enabled in your dataset, which means that the data source has the potential to change and cause the cache to become stale. Refreshing the browser or refreshing visuals bypasses the cache and executes directly against the data source.
Another possible reason is that there is a data mismatch between the Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service. You can troubleshoot this issue by checking if an OnPrem Data Gateway is involved, ensuring that it's up to date, and downloading the PBIX from the Power BI Service to check if the same problem is visible in the Power BI Desktop.
