Mapbox Multi-Select Functionality of Choropleth not working in Service

Hello,

Having an issue with Mapbox Power BI version 1.5. Once a Power BI report is published in the Service, we use Ctrl+select to select multiple choropleth regions. This feature doesn’t work anymore on version 1.5. It’s similar to lasso but with lasso you can’t select multiple layers if they don’t share a border. The feature is not implemented on version 1.6 (App Source version) and the 1.7 (Github version). The feature is still working on Power BI Desktop but not in the Service (report in workspace or a published app which is shared with customers).

The Visual hasn't been updated recently and the feature is still working on Desktp but not in Service. The reason why posting the question here.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks !

Hi,@lou_nis .
I am glad to help you.

According to your description, you have a problem with visual: Mapbox:

Ctrl+select in the Power BI service does not work when selecting multiple partitioned stat line areas, but it works fine when running on dekstop.

I have some suggestions for you to consider

1 Check the browser you are using, browser issues may affect the way Power BI Service visual objects behave. You can try using the feature in browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and Edge to see if there is any difference
2.Contact the team that created the Mapbox Visual, since I noticed that the visual is not officially developed by microsoft, you can find the team that created the visual in the store and contact them for more assistance

You can contact the Mapbox development team by clicking on “Support”.

Thanks for your reply.

Mapbox doesn't support the visual anymore (1.5 and 1.6 versions). They outsourced it to a third-party who built a new version (1.7) and can only be install via github.

The multi-select feature is not supported on the 1.7 version. The reason why we are still using earlier versions.

Hi,@lou_nis
Thank you for your replay.
Thank you for your reply, according to your description, it is indeed a better choice to continue to use the old version at present, and I am looking forward to the 1.7 version update and support for the multi-select function

I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
