I have data that needs to be re-calculated to the LOG or LOG10(value) so that I can reduce the extreme highs and lows when graphing activity by day (date as x-axis)
I created the =Log10(of a measure) in Excel PowerPivot, using DAX. It calculates ok.
Import the data from my OneDrive for Biz into PowerBI. When I try to visualize in PowerBI, I get an error.
Unrecognized fields in this visual We are not able to identify the following fields: LL_Audit_Logins[(Log) Login Events]. Please update the visual with fields that exist in the dataset.
Anyone else getting this error?

Thanks. I removed the (). I get a new error when i put both this measure and the Date(Date) dimension on the x-axis. The error is 'Chart data contains infinity values'.
I can visualize in Excel however.
I think i may have confused Excel's feature of scaling the y-axis logarithmically to flatten and re-scale extreme values using Log(x) of the value with literally creating the Log(of the value).
It appears that PowerBI doesn't have this feature. I'll see if i can find it on UserVoice.
Eric.
Does your field name really include parens? [(Log) Login Events]. First thing I would do is get rid of those and go with something like [LOG Login Events].
