License Pro

Hi,

a colleague of mine has the Power BI Pro license.

He had published on the Power BI Service 3 reports and datasets which have a daily scheduled refresh. These three dashboards have different size: the first, in order of refreshing, is 4MG; the second and the third are 6MG.

The last two reports completed everyday the daily scheduled refresh, without giving any message of error, but the data of a specific query (which is a merge of two other queries) seems to be not updated.

How can we solve the problem? There is any kind of restriction related to the dataset storage or a problem with the three subsequent daily scheduled refresh?

Thanks you

Hi @ALE_DEDONATO ,

1. What is the storage model for these three datasets? (Import/DirectQuery/LiveConnect/Push)

2. Except for individual fields, has the data of other fields been refreshed successfully?

Will the dashboard data update with a manual refresh?
3. Check if the fields in the data source are included in the report refresh.

4. Can you provide screenshots of the refreshed summary information for the next three datasets, erasing private information.

How to get your questions answered quickly -- How to provide sample data

Hi,

1. the storage model is Import.

2. yes the data from other fileds are successfully updated.

No, the manual refresh is not working for that specific field.

3. Yes the field is included in the report refresh.

I cannot resolve my problem

Hi Ale,
No, data storage is 10GB*, so storage is not a problem. Schedules refresh is limited to 8 per dataset per day, so that is not a problem too.

Is there an error msg for the dataset that is not updated?

Hi,

if the problem is from Power BI Premium?

How can we solve the problem? There is any kind of restriction related to the dataset storage or a problem with the three subsequent daily scheduled refresh?

Hi,

no there is no error message. Everyday it seems to complete the refresh.

Is it possible that the problem is something related to the dataset settings?

So what you are saying is the refresh are complete, but data is not updated?
Can you give a specific example so i can try to relate?

I'm saying that the refresh history is always "completed" but a specific field, let's call it "Hours", is not updated because if I look at the database (which is a Json) the data is different.

ex:  in the report published on Power BI Service field "Hours" = 10 (with the refresh status = Completed); in the json file, which is the source of the dashboard, field "Hours" = 17.

I don't know if I've been clear enough to explain the problem.

Thanks for the patient

Is it just the column "Hours" or the whole table? I am wondering if the table is excluded from refresh in Power Query.
